A True (Pre-)Beehive

Today we had my cousin Cora over, who is only seven, and she went to Young Women's with me. In our room, we have the theme painted on the wall, so leaders who "forgot" the theme can read it. As we were standing up for the theme, Cora put her hand over her heart, and tried her best to see past the people in front of her. She's the best! =D

Happy Valentines' Day!!

May I?

So Alex is obsessed with Libby and going to the bathroom. One day, Mom was running on the tread-mill in our basement. Our tread-mill is really loud, so she couldn't hear a thing he said when he was talking to her. Apparently he asked her a very important question, because the next thing he was doing was . . . . (wait for it). . . . PEEING IN THE LITTER BOX! He was just doing his own little thing, while Libby was purring and cuddling his leg while he was peeing!

He's Scarred For Life

So yesterday we went to the swimming pool at the South Jordan Rec. Center with Spencer's friend Keegen. The family changing rooms were full, and we were too impatient to wait. So we send Spencer and Keegen to the Men's locker room, and Mom, Alex, and I in the Ladies' locker room. Before we let them go in, Mom reminds them, "Don't forget to bring out ALL your clothes, okay?" "Okay." They said in unison. We were a little worried at first; sending two autistic boys into a locker room all alone to change, but everything turned out. Now we can swim!

* * *

Now it is time to get out and go home. So again, we send Spencer and Keegen to the Men's, while we quickly get dressed in the Ladies'. Finally we come into the hall to wait for the boys. Waiting. We're waiting. . . . FINALLY Keegen comes out. So we ask him, "Where's Spence?" He replies, "He's still getting changed." Okay . . . he's kind of being slow - but okay. Minutes passed. A mom was telling her boy to go find her other son. The little boy, probably four, slowly walks in, unsure of what to see. Later he comes back out. He must have not been too happy with what he saw, because he came complaining about the sight he saw. He unwillingly goes back in again.

We ask Keegen to go in again, and he comes out saying, "He's still changing by the lockers." I started thinking, They don't have changing stalls next to the lockers . . . Meanwhile, Mom asks the little boy's mom, "Having trouble with finding your son?" "Yeah. Those family changing rooms are packed!" My Mom agreed. The other mom went on, "Apparently my little four-year-old saw somebody naked!" That was Spencer!! I couldn't help but laugh! The four-year-old was scared to go back in to find his brother because he saw Spencer naked!!
