Jace's Birthday!

Jace turned five this year!! He is one of my very close cousins and I love him! He got a Recycle Truck, Chutes And Latters the board game, and UP the movie! His Birthday theme was Mickey Mouse Club House, and he had a VERY COOL cake in the shape of Mickey made by Grandma Sally. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACE!!

Today all the kids were in the car waiting for Mom to go get something at the store. So we were all talking, and then Alex pipes up, "Dad farts." So I reply, "You fart." And then he yells, "NO I DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And starts crying. Gosh Alex. I didn't realize you would take it so personal . . .

So today Shannon West, my mom's friend, came over to give Mom her Christmas present. As they were all talking, Alex was probably mad or something that he wasn't a part of this conversation. So he pipes up, "I don't have a scrotum anymore." Startled, Mom replies, "Really? Why is that?" "Well I was sittin' on the toilet lookin' for it, but it just wasn't there!"

Now you are probably thinkin', 'How does he even know what that is???' Well to make the story short, he asks a lot of questions . . .

Alex The Social Butterfly . . . Sorta

Yesterday, we had our Clark Christmas Party. (Which was sooo fun! =D) As we were packing up, another family was getting ready for their party. So they were all talking to themselves like, "Okay so lets hide these presents in here" or "Move this over here." . . . . Stuff like that. So one persons asks, "Where should we put this table?" And then out of nowhere Alex yells at the top of his lungs, "STOP!!!!! Kyle put that there!!!!!! STOP!!!! He's gonna get mad at YOU!!!!!!!!!" And poor little me is like, "Okay Alex that's enough . . . settle down . . . Sorry about that! He's just really sensitive when it comes to removing something that our family put there! I'm REALLY sorry!" While I was saying all of this I was trying not to laugh at Alex's face, it was HILARIOUS!This picture is kinda like what he looked like.

So Alex got a new girl named Alexis at his preschool, and he talks about her ALL THE TIME!!!!! (At least to me he does). Now he really likes her, so I asked again, "Who are you gonna marry?" (Get ready for a more disturbing reply than the last one), "I am gonna marry Calana AND Alexis!" (he's all happy). "And what about Skylor?" "She's still marryin' Evvy!" He starts jumping up and down like he just solved all the world's problems.

I just can't understand his little mind . . .

Today I asked Alex who he was going to marry. "Calana? (His friend that he has a crush on), Skylor? (We baby-sit her and Alex likes her too), or Evvy? (Our neighbor. Alex likes Calana better). He replied, "Ummm . . . . Calana." "Why not Skylor?" I asked. "Skylor will marry Evvy." "OH!!" I cried. I am pretty sure Evvy and Skylor aren't gay . . . . I hope so anyway . . . .

The Poor Little Thing

Yesterday we were in the car driving on our way home, when we spot this girl all alone at the park. Mom worriedly says, "Is she all alone? Where are her parents?" Spencer found the answer to this question. He replied, "She must be a stray."

It's so sad when little kids pop out of nowhere and become strays . . . .

Time Out

So today, Alex goes up to my mom and says, "My penis needs to go to time-out!" Now THAT really startled my mom, and so she says, "Really? Why does it need to go into time-out?" She's not to sure if she wants to know the answer. Alex says, "It needs to go into time-out because it peed on your floor!" Oh my . . . . :)

Poor Libby

Poor Libby got spayed. :( And I'm sad that she had to have surgery, and she's in so much pain, but I'm also sad that she will never have kittens of her own. :(

My Birthday!!

I'm getting older by the second . . .


Yes, it's true, yesterday was my birthday. So far I have gotten the most BEAUTIFUL dress from my parents, carmel from my Aunt Colleen, and money from all of my grandparents. We went out to Winger's, and got a free asphalt pie, (BEST thing in the world) and then went home for cake, and more ice cream. (I gained a few pounds . . . . JK) Then my dad and I watched Magnum P.I. episodes. The one we watched must have been the Halloween special, because it was about this woman who had gotten murdered during World War II, and her ghost still drifted about the beaches. Well Rick, Magnum's buddy, fell in love with her, and then she disappeared. So he was scared that something happened to her, and so he told Magnum. So it turns out her great-niece looks EXACTLY like her, and the murder comes after her to murder her. And the chasing scene is exactly like her great-aunt's, all the same trips, and then out of nowhere, here comes Magnum and shoots him. And I watched this at like, 11:00pm with my dad snoring away while I'm scared to death . . . . But besides that, I had a pretty good Birthday. :D

I am Loved!

Today I asked Alex, "Which school are going to for Kindergarten?" He replied, "Early Light!" (Yes!) "Because I love you!" (Bonus!) And then he jerks his head over to Spencer, and says, "Spencer hates me!" (Oh snap!) Spencer snaps, "Good! 'Cuz I don't WANT you at Eastlake! (Hmph)". They are sooo funny!

Yesterday, we were in the car, and Alex and Spence were in the back fighting. So of course Alex tattle-tales and says, "Mom! Spencer's killin' me!!" HA HA HA!!

Forbidden Love

Today we went to JCPenny, and it was me, my mom, and Alex. So we are talking to this sales lady, and I look over at Alex, (dramatic pause) and Alex was HUGGING THE MANNEQUIN!! And At JCPenny, if you haven't been there, the mannequins are UGLY!!! And the one Alex was hugging, had green hair! Seriously Alex, you have got something going on up there . . .

Our Halloween Costumes!!

This year's Halloween was sooooo fun!! As you can see, the kids are the M&M's, And Mom and Dad are the packages!! I know this kinda sounds self-centered, but was I'm excited to go to the church Halloween party, and everyone would say, "Awe!!" :) And, of course, they did. (Sorry there is no picture of Alex . . . HE WAS BEING A PILL!!)

Alex was being a "bad boy" so I was teasing him about stuff, and then he kicked me, so I grabbed his foot and pretended to lick it (I'm hyper today) and he kicked me!! So I licked his sick, bare-foot!! So I quickly got my mouth mouth-washed just in time before the ten seconds were up. (Sigh of relief).

Today after school, we were picking up Spence, and it was just Alex and I in the car. So we are just sitting there and I look over at Alex, and he is in the mirror saying, "Hey there cutie pie!" Alex, Alex, Alex.

Spencer's Dramatic Scene Take One

Today, which is Cleaning Day, we had to do chores. And (poor) Spencer had to clean the toilet for you-don't-want-to-know-what reasons. And so I tell Spencer sympathetically, "Today's your day to clean the toilet." And of course he gets mad, so mad that he starts crying. So I say, "I'll go get you some [cleaning] gloves." He says, "And a close pin." (For his nose so he doesn't have to smell it). And starts crying some more. Poor, poor Spence.

Slap Happy Chapter 2

We were in the car, on the way home from Target, and I don't know why he was blabbing on about this, but Alex was saying, "AHHH!!! MY HAND'S ON FIRE!!! FOO FOO FOO!!" (blow blow blow). It makes you wonder what's going on upstairs . . . .

ALEX!!

Today we were at McDee's, and Alex had a HappyMeal with apple dips. So I was talking to my Mom, and I look over and Alex moved his HappyMeal box in front of his face. I'm thinkin, "that's weird . . . " So I move his box, and he was licking the carmel container!!

Load 'em Up

Today we were driving to drama, and Alex got this new garbage truck that said things like "beep beep," "Tonka garbage management," and "load 'em up." So every time it said "load 'em up" Alex would say, "I already did." Then the next time it said, "load 'em up," Alex would get more and more angry, until he was yelling, "I ALREADY DID!!!!!!!!!!!" He's funny.

Today, we were at the swimmin pool, and Spencer needed to go to the bathroom, so Mom says, "Spence go potty . . . and take Alex too." So Spencer and Alex go to the bathroom, while Mom and I are talking about school and all that. Then we look over and here comes Spencer prancin back to us, (HAHAHAHAHA) and then Alex comes running behind Spence with his swimmin suit HALF WAY DOWN!!! Mom and I were laughing SOOO hard!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

It's Naked

Today, we were driving home from school, and we carpool and we were babysitting Jace and Clara, so I had to sit in the back with Alex and Jace. And it was REALLY crammed. So we were stopped at a stoplight, and then out of nowhere, Alex puts his Drawing in front of my face and I said, "Uh Alex what are you doing?" and he says, " Don't look! The stoplight's naked!" Hmm . . .

It was . . . . me?!

One day I was doin my homework when Mom yells, "Aspen! Fix Alex a dang quesedilla!" Just kidding she didn't say that. She said, "Aspen! Fix Alex a piece of toast!" So I fixed him a piece of toast, and he ate it. Later he goes to my Mom again and says, "I'm hungry." And Mom says, "Oh, Didn't Aspen fix you toast?" Uh-uh." says Alex. (Lying because he wants more to eat). Then (mean, teasing) Dad says, "Well what is all over your pants?" Alex thinks a while and says, "It's blood!" I hope Mom and Dad weren't thinkin it was my fault! Because they both know he ANNOYS me!! But I love you, Alex don't worry.

A Bad Case Of The Slap-Happiness

We were on our way home from FHE with Grandma Clark, so it was late, and my Mom and I are talking about stuff. Then we start noticing that Alex is back there just talking nonsense. Like, "And then Dad was like, 'what?!' And I was like 'Duh'. Oh just the way he said it was SOOO funny!

Goodness!

Today, I was chasing Alex with this wet rag, cuz I was bored, and was trying to get it on his head, while running. So I chase him around the house, and then, "Finally!" I thought. "He's cornered!" We were right by the garage door and bathroom door, and without pausing to think, Alex runs into the bathroom . . . with Mom inside! "Oh! Alex!" she exclaimed. "MOM! SAVE ME!!" I don't think she wants to save you right now . . . :D

Today, we were babysitting the Wilferts, and Chase REALLY needed to take a nap, and mom was getting tired of his whining, so to distract him, she said, "Here Chase, go play with this." And she threw a beanie bag to him. But she threw kinda hard, and it hit him, but not like it hurt him. And then Alex sees the whole thing, and says, "Here Chase! Have this!" WHACK!!!! He threw a another beanie bag at his face! On purpose! And Chase is only like 2, and he's just staring at Alex, while my Mom and I are busting out laughing! Oh, his face was so FUNNY!!!

Alex says the weirdest things! These are a few things he has said.

#1. Just Keep Swimmin' . . . I mean it . . . do that instead!

We were at the swimming pool at South Jordan rec. center, and Alex kept going down the Alligator Slide in SOOOOO many ways. Normal, on his back, etc. So when he went down on his stomach, he has a weird look on his as he walks over to my mom and I. And then he whispers, "Mom, my penis hurts." I guess he down at the wrong angle!

#2. Today's windy . . . Don''t you think, Alex?

One windy day, Alex came into the house after jumping on the tramp, and said to my mom, "Mom! Tell the wind to stop! It's gonna blow my hair off!" Okay then . . .

#3. Let's go out to the store . . .

The other day we were at the store and I was teasing Alex, since he randomly chose princesses to be his absolute favorite thing in the world, so I said, "Alex! Look!" It was this Disney Princess lip gloss. I was expecting him to give me the look and say, "Aspen! I'm a boyah!" But instead he said, "Look! It's Cinderella! She's my gilfriend!" (that's how he says girlfriend). So I replied, "Oh. Are you gonna kiss her?" He blushed and said, "Yes". Followed by a sly smile.

#4. Hide and Seek . . . Alex's Version

A few days ago, we went to Lagoon, and it was time for a potty-break. So I was in there, doin' my thing, getting ready to leave, and then I see these little Thomas the Train shoes . . . then some little hands . . . I hear, "Aspen! You in there?" It was Alex! I guess he didn't see my face, cuz then he goes to the next stall, and does it AGAIN!!!! Oh, what will we ever do.
